South Pratt Parkway Bridge Reduced to One Lane on Tuesday
As crews finalize construction on the South Pratt Parkway Bridge, traffic will be reduced to one lane Tuesday. The lane reduction will start at 9 a.m. and last through the day.
While the structural components of construction are complete, a new sidewalk on the west side of the bridge still needs to be installed and the final asphalt paving and lane striping must be completed.
During construction pedestrians and bicyclists will be able to use the sidewalk on the bridge’s east side, though all other current trail closures and detours will remain in place.
Due to anticipated traffic delays, Longmont Public Works encourages drivers to avoid the South Pratt Parkway Bridge and take Main Street instead.
All construction impacting traffic is expected to be completed by the end of April.
