Lake Mills Rotarians announced for March
LAKE MILLS -- Will DeNoyer of Lakeside Lutheran High School and Alexis Topel and Nick Carpenter of Lake Mills High School have been named Lake Mills student Rotarians for March.
DeNoyer is the son of Brad and Jennelle DeNoyer. His hobbies are playing the guitar, hunting, fishing and boating.
He has played football and basketball in high school.
DeNoyer is the senior class president of the student government and the secretary for the National Honor Society. He is also a member of Teens for Christ and STEM club.
DeNoyer will attend a university to study mechanical engineering after graduating high school.
Topel is the daughter of Dan and Lisa Topel. In her free time, she likes working out and drawing. She is also interested in accounting and sports management.
Topel has played on the varsity softball and varsity basketball teams in high school. She was on the volleyball team during her freshman year and was in cross country during her sophomore year.
She is a member of student council, ELM club and Octagon club. She helped start S.C.A.P.E., a club to help students learn more about what the school’s teachers and staff do for them.
Topel has also volunteered at her church by assisting with its food pantry.
After high school, Topel plans to attend a four-year university in Wisconsin or Minnesota to major in accounting and minor in sports management.
Carpenter is the son of Scott and Gina Carpenter. He enjoys playing baseball, fishing, hunting and hanging out with friends and family.
He has played baseball and basketball during his time in high school. Carpenter is a member of Link Crew, French club and band. He is also senior class vice president and was prom king during his junior year.
Carpenter has volunteered at his church, helping with dinners and various events. He has helped with youth baseball camps in the winter.
After graduation, Carpenter will attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to study natural resources or engineering.
