NORWALK Police arrest suspect in Lexington Ave. stabbing
NORWALK — Police arrested a Norwalk man early Saturday morning following a stabbing on Lexington Avenue they claim began with a fight.
Angel Mejia-Villalba, 31, was charged with first-degree assault and held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Norwalk police spokesman Lt. Terry Blake said officers responded around 12:25 a.m. to reports of a fight at 43 Lexington Ave., where they found a man with two stab wounds. Blake said witnesses claimed Mejia-Villalba and the victim were fighting when the latter allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the victim.
The victim was taken to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries. Police did not have an update on his condition Saturday afternoon.
