39 indictments returned by grand jury in Putnam County

WINFIELD — The November term of the Putnam County grand jury returned 39 indictments on Nov. 14, alleging 44 people committed 135 felonies and 31 misdemeanors, according to a news release from Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Mark A. Sorsaia.

The following lists each suspect’s name, followed by year of birth, last known address and offenses for which they were indicted:

• Donnie L. Albright III, 1996, 5767 Ohio River Road, Lot 101, Huntington, shoplifting and forgery of a public record.

• Hali R. Anderson, no birth year or address listed, conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

n Eugene C. Batten II, 1982, 33 Rustic Acres, Spencer, W.Va., failure to provide notice of a registration change, driving a motor vehicle without a current and valid certificate of inspection and driving on a suspended license.

n Jamie C. Bell, 1977, 591 Washington St., Bancroft, W.Va., fraudulent use of an unauthorized access device.

n Calvin D. Black, 1992, 827 Dairy Road, Poca, W.V.a., distribution, exhibition, or possession of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

n Carrigan D. Boone, 2000, 192 Hasty School Road, Thomasville, N.C., possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• David V. Brooks, 1962, 848 Sutherland Drive, St. Albans, two counts of computer fraud.

• Terrell C. Brooks, 28941 Fernwood, Inkster, Mich., two counts of conspiracy to commit possession wit intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• Dakota S. Cogar, 1994, 802 Sugar Camp Road, Winfield, domestic battery, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

• John W. Coiner Jr., 1985, 1401 Harmon’s Branch Road, Winfield, possession of a stolen vehicle, daytime burglary and obstructing an officer.

• Chadd A. Collins, 1989, 214 Cross Lanes Drive, Apt. 2, Nitro, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.

• George M. Deal, 1990, 1704 Lime Kiln Road, Red House, West Virginia, two counts of computer fraud.

• Benjamin C. Greene II, 1969, 1042 Pendleton Place, Hurricane, concealment of a minor child and conspiracy to commit concealment of a minor child.

• Bernard G. Hicks, 1977, 510 Marcum Terrace Drive, Huntington, two counts of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• Roger T. Lawrence II, 1973, 1319 W. 13th St., Nitro, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

• Daniel L. Lawson, 1995, 109 Fairview Drive, St. Albans, three counts of domestic battery; two counts of strangulation; depriving another person of emergency services; two counts of destruction of property; daytime burglary; domestic assault; violation of a protective order.

• Debora L. Lovejoy, 1975, 1879 18 Mile Creek, Buffalo, three counts of forgery; three counts of uttering a forged writing and three counts of computer fraud.

• James S. Lynch, 1967, 39 24th St., Dunbar, W.Va., fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer in reckless indifference to the safety of others; three counts of destruction of property and three counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

• Robert T. Martin, 1983, 24 Hickory Mills Apts., Hurricane, wanton endangerment; person prohibited from possessing a firearm; use of a firearm during the commission of a felony; two counts of brandishing a deadly weapon; possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• Wesley H. McClaskie Jr., 1983, 1420 Rocky Step Road, Scott Depot, delivery of a controlled substance; five counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance.

• Michael W. Messer, 1984, 64 Marina Park, Hurricane, two counts of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• Nicholas A. Null, 1982, 156 Dogwood Circle, Hurricane, child abuse creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

• Stephanie N. Roberts, 1986, 72 Route 1, Poca, three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

• Brian K. Shafer Jr., 1981, 200 Midland Trail, Apt. 14, Hurricane, three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree; display of obscene matter to a minor; use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor; distribution, exhibition or possession of material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct; two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or other person in a position of trust; two counts of displaying sex organs by a parent, guardian or custodian.
