Grant’s Game Balls: Marshall vs. Charlotte

November 11, 2018

Offense RB No. 20 Brenden Knox

Knox, who had not logged a carry all season coming into the game, took the bulk of the carries after Anthony Anderson was banged up early in the third quarter and finished with 116 yards and a touchdown — an impressive tally against a Charlotte defense that was No. 3 in FBS in rushing yards allowed.

Defense LB No. 35 Frankie Hernandez

Hernandez was disruptive against the run, logging 11 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and a quarterback sack to lead a Marshall defense that shut down the Charlotte rushing attack after the first series of the game.

Special teams DE No. 44 Darius Hodge

After being close on several occasions this season, Darius Hodge finally got a punt block to his credit, getting his paw on a Kyle Corbett kick, which led to a short touchdown run for the Herd.
