Authorities search for suburban St. Louis couple
OLIVETTE, Mo. (AP) — Authorities are looking for a suburban St. Louis couple who went missing last week after stopping at a gas station.
Forty-three-year-old Michele Laws and 47-year-old Igor Zhukov haven’t been seen since Thursday afternoon at a QuikTrip in north Saint Louis County. KSDK-TV reports that the suburban Olivette couple was supposed to take the couple’s 13- and 8-year-old daughters to piano and swim practices that night. But the couple never showed up.
Police tried to track their cellphones but couldn’t find them. Laws’ sister-in-law, Kelly Laws, says she believes the couple was buying and selling phones they got off the Internet. She says the family is “very concerned that there’s some sort of foul play at this point.”
The couple was driving a dark-colored Nissan Sentra, with Missouri license plates SM1R54N.”
