Expansion of Kingman car dealership before county planners

June 11, 2018

KINGMAN — The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Wednesday to discuss expansion of a Kingman car dealership.

With no items concerning the Mohave Valley area on the agenda, the commission will discuss a rezone of a one-acre lot to allow the expansion of Freedom Auto Sales. The lot is on Northern Avenue and Adams Street in Kingman.

In other action, District 5 Commissioner Larry Morse will take his seat on the commission. He recently was appointed by the county supervisors to replace Paul Selberg, of Lake Havasu City, who died April 21 in a boating accident on Lake Havasu.

Carl Flusche, of Lake Havasu City, who was District 3 commissioner, died in February. There still is a vacancy for commissioner in District 1.

The planning and zoning issues will go before the county supervisors for approval at their July 2 meeting. The commission meeting starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the board of supervisors auditorium in the county administration building at 700 W Beale St. in Kingman.
