Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Victims of Reckless Driver

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is seeking the owner of this Corvette, who is believed to have been driving it recklessly Thursday.

Boulder County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking to speak to anyone who might have been nearly struck by a person recklessly driving a yellow Corvette as fast as 150 mph Thursday.

A news release stated that investigators believe the driver left the Corvette at a parking garage near Folsom Street and Iris Avenue in Boulder on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators have not released the identity of the registered owner, who is believed to have been driving the car, but he is wanted on numerous felony warrants related to bad driving. He was not in custody as of Thursday evening.

Deputies were first notified at about 12:30 p.m. of a yellow Corvette being driven at high speeds in Lyons and later on U.S. 36, where the driver nearly struck numerous vehicles, including a sheriff’s office patrol vehicle. The driver nearly caused multiple head-on collisions with other motorists while illegally crossing the road’s double yellow line.
