National Weather Service warns of severe storms, possible tornadoes on west side Tuesday evening

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The National Weather Service in Cleveland said severe storms are possible Tuesday evening with a few isolated tornadoes possible mainly west of Interstate 71.

From now until midnight, there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms as well as the possibility for some large hail or an isolated tornado, according to the NWS.

Expect heavy rainfall, occasional lightning and damaging winds up to 60 mph, the NWS said. There is also the possibility for heavy rain to cause rapid increases in small streams and creeks.

Important Weather Update For Northern and Western #Ohio. We need to stay #Weather #Aware late today and tonight for the potential for damaging winds and isolated tornadoes especially west of I-71.
