Southport financier’s mansion hits market at $28.5M
The former CEO of AIG Financial Products has listed his Fairfield mansion for sale, asking $28.5 million as first reported by Dow Jones.
Located at 640 Sasco Hill Road and designed by Roger Ferris + Partners, Howard Sosin’s limestone home totals more than 13,000 square feet of space on six levels, with 10 bedrooms, 18 bathrooms and two pools, one inside beneath a skylight ceiling and built of Italian marble 25 yards in length.
The Sosin property becomes one of the top 10 priciest listings in Connecticut, with a Darien estate at 19 Great Island Road the highest at $120 million, followed by President Donald Trump’s onetime home at 21 Vista Dr. in Greenwich listed at $45 million.
Sosin, who also has a home in Palm Beach, Fla., was ordered in 2005 to pay $24 million to his former wife after a divorce.
