Longmont Police Notes: Domestic Incident Ends in Arrest
Longmont police on Friday received a report of a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of Gay Street. A man was later arrested on numerous charges including felony menacing and second-degree assault.
The Longmont Police Department responded Friday to a physical domestic in the 700 block of Rees Court. A 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were involved in a domestic disturbance. The woman had obvious injuries and independent witnesses heard her yelling for the man to stop. The man was arrested for domestic violence related third-degree assault and criminal mischief.
A Longmont resident reported first-degree criminal trespass and theft in the 1900 block of Juniper Street. The case is closed due to lack of suspect information.
On Friday , Logmont officers responded to the 200 block of Kimbark Street reference a possible child abuse. It was reported that a woman had struck a juvenile female. Attempts were made to contact the reporting party, but officers were unable to do so and the case is closed.
Longmont police took a report Friday of a burglary that occurred in the 1100 block of Parker Drive on Wednesday. The case will be closed with no leads.
Longmont officers responded Friday to the 2600 block of 3rd Avenue, reference a medical assist. Police collected the available information, and one subject was cited without incident for violating park regulations.
