May 4, 2019

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A survey of turkey hunters last fall shows they were mostly satisfied with their Nebraska hunting experience.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, which conducted the survey, says the questionnaire was open to 2018 fall turkey hunters. Of the 670 responses, 62 percent said that they were satisfied or very satisfied with their hunting experience, and 97 percent replied they would hunt in Nebraska again during the fall season.

Fifty-five percent said they were satisfied with the number of turkeys they had seen while hunting.

The commission says 3,255 turkeys were killed during last fall’s hunting season.
