11-year-old girl struck, seriously injured in Jamestown
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Police say an 11-year-old girl has been struck and seriously injured while trying to cross a street in Jamestown.
Police Major Justin Blinsky tells KQDJ the girl was crossing at an intersection Thursday about 3 p.m. when she was struck by a pickup truck south of Lincoln Elementary School. Blinsky says the pickup driver’s view of the girl in the crosswalk may have been obscured by a vehicle that was stopped to make a left turn.
The child was rushed to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to a Fargo hospital.
