NC State’s Louis set to face Georgia State; Meyers uncertain

September 6, 2018

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State should have graduate receiver Stephen Louis back for Saturday’s game against Georgia State. It’s still unclear if fellow wideout Jakobi Meyers will be in the lineup with him.

Louis missed the season-opening win against James Madison due to a tight hamstring that had bothered him during preseason. But coach Dave Doeren said after Thursday morning’s practice that he expects Louis will play Saturday after practicing two straight days.

Doeren said Meyers will be a gameday decision after he injured his left ankle in the opener. Meyers had career highs of 14 catches for 161 yards, but ended up wearing a protective boot on his left foot afterward. Doeren said Meyers is “trying like heck to get back” and improving, adding he’s “hopeful” Meyers will be ready.
