One of two west Houston home burglary suspects captured

An alert neighbor helped Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office deputies capture one of two suspects in a home burglary in west Houston.

Constable Ted Heap’s Office reported that Marc Jacob Castro, 21, was arrested “after he fled from the scene of a home burglary.”

According to a news release, “an alert neighbor called Precinct 5 after spotting two males jumping a wall at a condominium in the 13600 block of Garden Grove Court on May 14. When deputies arrived, Castro and another male ran from inside the home, jumping a fence and trying to flee along a nearby bayou.”

Castro was reportedly captured at an apartment complex in the 13700 block of Westhollow Park. He was charged with burglary, a felony, and evading arrest, a misdemeanor. Castro is currently being held in the Harris County Jail. His next court date is scheduled for July 10.
