PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) _ Geno Petralli hit a sacrifice fly off Orlando Lind in the 10th inning Monday, giving the Texas Rangers a 6-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Dan Peltier opened the inning with a double and took third on Gary Pettis’ sacrifice. Petralli then drove in the winning run, making a winner of Bob Sebra (2-0), who pitched the 10th inning.

Jeff Huson’s two-run single tied the score in the eighth.

Texas scored three runs in the third on Juan Gonzalez’s homer and Dickie Thon’s two-run double.

Luis Quinones homered in the third for Minnesota, which took a 5-3 lead in the sixth when Thon bobbled Kirby Puckett’s grounder to shortstop for a two- run error.
