Shelton firefighters knock down blaze at condo complex

December 8, 2018

SHELTON — City firefighters extinguished flames at a condominium complex Friday afternoon, fire officials said.

Around 2:15 p.m., fire units were sent to a two-story condo complex on Coram Road, between Connecticut and Fairfield avenues, for a report of a structure fire.

The first fire units on scene reported a working fire on the second floor. Crews immediately stretched a line and went to work, fire officials said. Firefighters were also deployed on the roof while crews worked on interior operations.

A Derby fire engine and a Derby fire truck provided coverage to the downtown area while Shelton firefighters worked on the blaze.
