Oncology center evacuated
Around 20 patients were evacuated when a fire alarm went off at the Somerset Oncology Center along South Kimberly Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Somerset Volunteer Fire Department Third Assistant Chief Bart Close said that employees did a great job evacuating patients. He said there was a smell of wires burning that they determined was from a light fixture. Patients were taken to Somerset Hospital for shelter. Crews were at the center for a little over an hour determining the cause.
