Foot found on Everett-area beach linked to missing man
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a human foot that was found on Everett’s Jetty Island has been linked to a missing Snohomish County man who is now presumed dead.
KOMO-TV reports the Snohomish County Medical Examiner positively identified the foot Tuesday as belonging to Antonio Neill, who was reported missing by his family in December 2016.
The foot was found inside a boot by people who were walking the beach on New Year’s Day. Detectives previously said the foot appeared to have been in the water for some time.
Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe says the medical examiner hasn’t yet determined what caused Neill’s death, but detectives with the Snohomish County Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
At the time of his disappearance, Neill was 22 and described as homeless with a history of depression.
