McLaren hires Boullier as racing director
WOKING, England (AP) — Formula One team McLaren has hired Eric Boullier as its new racing director, less than a week after the Frenchman left as team principal of Lotus.
The appointment of Boullier continues the behind-the-scenes restructuring at McLaren, who recently brought back former team principal Ron Dennis as its new chief executive.
McLaren is looking to bounce back from its worst season in F1 since 1980 after failing to make a single podium.
Boullier says in a statement Wednesday that “I’m both eager and determined to play an active part. To bring about the changes that will deliver success.”
