GARDNER — A third person accused of participating in a July bank robbery in a Gardner bank was arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department Friday.

According to published reports, Josh Parsons, 28, of Gardner, was arrested and charged with robbery, burglary and theft. He remains in custody at the Grundy County Jail. Police have been investigating the July 25 robbery since it occurred, and Grundy County Sheriff Kevin Callahan said Parsons played a key role in the crime. Investigators declined to be more specific about Parsons’ role.

Callahan previously said Corey Canterbury, 22, of Gardner, entered First Midwest bank on July 25 and demanded money. He did not show or mention he had a weapon. Canterbury was then seen leaving on a black motorcycle, wearing a black helmet and pink backpack.

Shortly thereafter, Canterbury and Daytona Fisher, 22, of Braceville, were arrested and charged with the robbery. Prosecutors say Fisher provided Canterbury with the helmet and motorcycle.
