4 changes in Argentina side to play New Zealand
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — Backrower Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe will return from injury to captain an Argentina team featuring four changes ahead of its Rugby Championship test at New Zealand on Saturday.
Fernandez Lobbe missed the Puma’s first two championship matches against South Africa with a calf injury, but returns to take the place of Leonardo Senatore who has been suspended for the remainder of the four-nation tournament for biting.
Inside center Felipe Contepomi, who captained Argentina in its 73-13 and 22-17 losses to South Africa over the past two weeks, has been dropped to the reserves bench, giving up his place in midfield to Santiago Fernandez.
Fullback Juan Martin Hernandez also returns from injury, displacing Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino, while Manuel Carizza takes over from Mariano Galarza at lock.
