December 23, 2018

KINGMAN — A Bullhead City arson suspect was indicted Thursday on a total of seven charges.

A Mohave County grand jury indicted Trevor Bradford Maestre, 28, on felony charges of arson of an occupied structure, four counts

of aggravated assault, first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct with a weapon.

Maestre is being held in county jail on a $150,000 bond. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges Jan. 7. His case will be heard before Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert.

Firefighters responded to a house fire Dec. 12 in the 400 block of Malibu Drive. Maestre is accused of holding a knife to the throat of his girlfriend, threatening to kill her. He also allegedly lit a fire in the bedroom, Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said.

Maestre also allegedly struck another man in the head with a baseball bat. That man was taken to a Bullhead City hospital.

The suspect then fled the scene. Bullhead City police arrested Maestre the next day after a brief standoff in the 2000 block of Ramar Road, Fromelt said.
