Passenger flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries

RUBICON -- A passenger was flown to a Milwaukee hospital by MedFlight after a two-vehicle crash in the town of Rubicon, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency officials were called to a crash involving a car and a pickup truck around 9:47 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators said a car was east on state Highway 60 when it made a counter-clockwise spin and crossed over the center line into the westbound lane. This is when a pickup truck crashed into the car, according to the release.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was transported to Aurora Hospital in Summit. The passenger of the car was flown to Froedtert Hospital.

Assisting at the scene were Wisconsin State Patrol, Hartford Fire and EMS, MedFlight, Lebanon EMS, Hustisford First Responders, Neosho Fire Department and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
