Chris Stevens spreads the word about expanding Medicaid on Aug. 23

August 21, 2018

POCATELLO — On Thursday, Aug. 23, Reclaim Idaho and the Stevens for Bannock campaign are having a “Door to Door with Chris Stevens and Luke Mayville” event to spread the word about the necessity of expanding Medicaid. People interested in helping ensure that everyone has access to affordable healthcare should meet at the Bru House, 502 N Main St, in Pocatello at 5 p.m. to learn how to be a part of this amazing effort.

Chris Stevens is a former public school teacher, career counselor, and principal who often faced the demoralizing reality that many of her students and their families desperately needed medical care but could not afford it. She worked hard to get Medicaid Expansion on the ballot in November as the county leader for Reclaim Idaho because she believes that our loved ones deserve better. She will work equally as hard as a Bannock County Commissioner because she believes that that real, everyday people can make a difference.

No experience is necessary and training for attendees will be provided prior to heading out to the streets. All that is needed is a strong commitment to helping your fellow neighbors and a sturdy pair of walking shoes. For more information about this event, please contact the Stevens for Bannock campaign by calling 208-352-3196.
