Maryland 64, No. 17 Rutgers 55

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) _ Bonnie Rimkus scored 20 points and Maryland rallied from a nine-point deficit in the final 14 minutes for a 65-55 victory over No. 17 Rutgers on Tuesday night.

The Scarlet Knights (14-4) had won 10 straight. Maryland (12-8) has won four in a row.

Trailing 43-34, the Terrapins went on a 17-5 run, taking the lead for good on a three-point play by Monica Adams with 6:10 left to play.

After Rutgers pulled within 57-53 with 4:27 left, Maryland scored 10 of the next 16 points.

Maryland led by as many as six points in the first half, but the Scarlet Knights went on a 10-4 spurt to close out the first half for a tie at 28.

Rutgers began the second half with a 15-6 run to open its biggest lead of the night, before the Terrapins began their comeback effort.

Karon Ferguson added 13 points and Adams 11 for Maryland.

Regina Kalucki led the Scarlet Knights with 20 points and Lauren Hartmann added 13 points.
