LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) _ Jeron Roberts led all scorers with 21 points for Wyoming as the Cowboys posted an 84-67 victory over Western Athletic Conference foe Air Force on Thursday.
After a close first half, the Cowboys (9-9, 3-5 WAC) broke open the game, outscoring the Falcons (5-12, 1-7 WAC) 17-4 in the first seven minutes of the second half to lead 55-38 with 13:10 remaining.
Air Force could get no closer than 12 points and trailed by as many as 20 the rest of the game.
Also in double figures for Wyoming were LaDrell Whitehead with 18, Gregg Sawyer with a season-high 15 and HL Coleman, who had his 10th double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Reggie Minton led the Falcons with 17 points, Jarmica Reese added 16 and Matt Horin scored 11.
Air Force led 23-15 about midway through the first half after scoring 9 unanswered points. The Falcons pushed the lead to 32-26 following a 3-pointer by Chris Kay, but Wyoming rallied to lead 38-34 at the half.
