Right back Aleix Vidal scored twice and set up a goal to lead defending champion Sevilla over visiting Fiorentina 3-0 Thursday night in the first leg of the Europa League semifinals.

Vidal put the three-time champions ahead with a long-range shot in the 17th minute, doubled the lead in the 52nd minute and deflected a ball to substitute Kevin Gameiro for the final goal in the 75th.

In the night's other game, Yevhen Seleznyov redirected in a cross at the far post in the 81st minute, one minute after he entered the match, to give Ukraine's Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk a 1-1 tie at Napoli. David Lopez had put the hosts ahead when he headed in Lorenzo Insigne's corner kick in the 50th minute.

The second legs of the total-goals series in Europe's No. 2 club tournament are May 14. The winner of the May 27 final in Warsaw qualifies for next season's Champions League.
