Florida International 90, Fordham 82

NEW YORK (AP) _ Dedric Taylor scored 26 points and Gene Derkack added 24 as Florida International beat Fordham 90-82 Tuesday night to snap a four-game losing streak.

Todd Hensley scored 12 points and Quincey Gamble had 11 for the Golden Panthers (1-4), who led 39-38 at halftime.

Dustin Berrien led Fordham (2-1) with 21 points. Ray Carroll added 19 and Chris DiMascio 16.

Florida International built a 57-39 lead in the second half, but Fordham rallied to tie it at 71 with 4:10 remaining. However, Taylor’s four-point play highlighted a 12-1 run that put the Panthers ahead 83-72 with 2:03 left.

Fordham closed to 85-81 on Carroll’s 3-pointer, but that’s as close as the Rams got.
