DAYTON, Ohio (AP) _ Sherman Curry scored 19 points, including seven during a three-minute stretch to turn back a second-half Central Michigan rally, to lead Wright State to a 79-72 victory Saturday.

Marvin Rodgers had 13 points for Wright State (5-5). Brandon Pardon added 11, and Keion Brooks had 10.

Aaron Brown had 17 points for Central Michigan (2-6). Jon Borovich had 14, and Jerry Glover and Luke Johnson each had 11.

A layup by Steno Kos, with an assist by Curry, gave Wright State a 4-2 lead two and a half minutes into the game. The Raiders never trailed again, although Central Michigan pulled within one point four minutes into the second half.

Then Curry scored on a jumper, a tip-in and a 3-pointer in the next three minutes as Wright State rebuilt the lead to 10 and kept it in double figures most of the rest of the way.

Brown kept Central Michigan close in the first half, scoring 11 of his 17 points as Wright State took a 33-27 lead at halftime. But Curry hit 6-of-8 from the field in the second half, and Wright State was 13-of-18 at the free-throw line while Central Michigan was just 4-of-15 from 3-point range.
