Jo Poncelet: Sustainable ag program is in the planning stages

September 28, 2018

At Minnesota State College Southeast, we are always looking into ways to develop new programs that will offer value to our students and the community as a whole. Currently, we are considering several new programs, a two-year Sustainable Agriculture degree being one of them. This program is still in the formative stages and is not yet approved as a major at MSC Southeast.

The college is continuing to consult with advisors from the agricultural industry throughout southeast Minnesota, as well as our partners in regional secondary school districts. We are looking at incorporating advanced agricultural technologies and business preparation for entrepreneurs and startups as we finalize an agriculture program that will serve the needs of the entire farming community.

We anticipate that we will be ready to launch in the upcoming year, and look forward to sharing the news with the community as it develops. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about our programs — both current and future — please contact us.
