Burns Will Be Voice for Billerica’s Neighborhoods
I am writing this letter to share my endorsement of Dan Burns for election to the Billerica Board of Selectmen.
The best predictor of future performance is past results. Given Dan’s results from his time on the board from 2014-2017, Billerica should expect fantastic results from Dan if he is elected. As a former selectman, Dan was on the Board of Selectmen where the town experienced its first-ever property-tax reduction. Amazingly, that board didn’t simply cut taxes, they were able to do so while making historic investments in our community.
As you drive down the beautifully redesigned Boston Road which leads into the center, we can be grateful to Dan as he was the swing vote that made that project possible. Dan also helped ensure pedestrian safety in Billerica Center and Micozzi Beach with flashing signals in the cross walks.
I’ve worked with Dan for several years on the High School Building Committee. Dan is always prepared, asks meaningful questions, and has been part of a team that is ensuring a state of the art building will be delivered on time and on budget. Dan’s participation has been critical to the project’s success.
Dan’s vision for lower taxes, ensuring water and sewer bills are never again retroactively raised, and promoting smart growth in Billerica is exactly what we need on our Board of Selectmen. I wholeheartedly endorse Dan Burns and ask you to vote for him on April 6 so he can once again be your neighborhood’s voice.
