Waupun Police Beat 9-27 to 9-28, 2018
Theft — Wednesday at 1:25 p.m., police responded to a residence in the first hundred block of South Madison Street for a theft of a computer tablet.
Theft — Wednesday at 1:43 p.m., police took a theft of medication complaint at the police department, which occurred at a residence in the 500 block of East Brown Street.
Crash — Wednesday at 2:06 p.m., police responded to the first block of East Main Street for a two-vehicle traffic crash. A 71-year-old Waupun woman was cited for operating while intoxicated causing injury and inattentive driving. She was believed to be impaired by a prescription medication. The woman was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital for possible injuries. The operator of the second vehicle, a 48-year-old Fairwater man, was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Intoxicated subject — Wednesday at 5:55 p.m., police and Lifestar EMS responded to South Grove Street at East Lincoln Street for a report of a man who fell off his bicycle and was injured. Police made contact with the 42-year-old Waupun man, who was intoxicated. The man refused medical attention.
Juvenile — Thursday at 3:06 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 500 block of Maxon Street for an out-of-control juvenile. Disorderly conduct charges are being referred to Dodge County Juvenile Intake.
Theft — Thursday at 5:28 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Franklin Street for a theft of a chainsaw and a weed whacker.
Disturbance — Thursday at 7:22 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 900 block of West Brown Street for a disturbance. While investigating, drug paraphernalia was located in plain view inside the residence and a warrant was obtained to search the residence. Numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located. A 23-year-old Waupun woman was taken into custody for a Fond du Lac County contempt of court warrant. The woman was turned over to a Fond du Lac County deputy. A 23-year-old Waupun man was taken into custody on a probation hold and was transported to Dodge County Jail. Possession of drug paraphernalia charges are being referred to the Dodge County DA’s Office against an 18-year-old Waupun man, a 27-year-old Randolph woman, and a 28-year-old Madison woman. Other charges may be forwarded to the DA’s Office upon completion of the investigation.
