On Thursday morning, a bomb went off under a tanker truck after it pulled into Israel's main fuel depot just outside Tel Aviv. Firefighters put out the blaze before it could reach huge above-ground fuel tanks. Tel Aviv police commander Yossi Sedbon said a major disaster was averted by a ``miracle.''

A day earlier, a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up in Rishon Letzion, a city 15 kilometers (9 miles) south of Tel Aviv, killing two Israelis.

Israeli officials are warning of a wave of Palestinian suicide bombings at the same as militant groups try to hit strategic Israeli targets in a large-scale attacks.
