CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Department of Education is accepting nominations for the 2019 Teacher of the Year.

The nomination should be made no later than Feb. 16 to ensure that the nominated teacher is given enough time to thoroughly prepare an application.

A Teacher of the Year candidate should be an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled person from any state-approved or accredited school, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The teacher has to be certified in the state, demonstrate leadership and intend to continue in the teaching profession.

Teachers may download an application at www.education.nh.gov/recognition/toy.htm and submit it to the DOE no later than March 18.
