Odgen, Starks May Miss Next Game

October 2, 2000

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) _ Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl tackle Jonathan Ogden, hindered by a sprained right ankle, could miss Sunday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ogden left Sunday’s game against Cleveland with five minutes left in the third quarter.

The Ravens also lost cornerback Duane Starks to a hamstring injury during Sunday’s 12-0 win.

``Jonathan’s ankle is not serious in the sense it’s not a high-ankle sprain, it’s not severe and it’s not ligament damage,″ Baltimore coach Brian Billick said Monday. ``But it’s all around, so he’s going to be very questionable for this week, as is Duane.″

The Ravens expect to get a better indication of the extent of the injuries on Wednesday.

Starks was replaced against the Browns by James Trapp, who will start against the Jaguars if Starks isn’t ready. If Ogden can’t play, Kipp Vickers will take his place at left tackle.

If Ogden can play, Vickers might replace right tackle Harry Swayne, who left Sunday’s game with a right ankle sprain.
