Warrenville man charged in sexual assault case involving juvenile
A Warrenville man was charged Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault investigation involving a juvenile.
Jon Christopher Hyatt, 32, is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with minor, victim under 11 years of age, four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with minor and disseminating obscene material to a minor 12 years or younger, according to jail records.
On Apr. 10, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office investigator met with the victim’s mother, she said her daughter was “making gestures” and saying “inappropriate comments” indicating she may have been sexually assaulted, according to the report.
Investigators reported speaking with the victim and they got the same indications.
The victim’s mother told investigators she believes Hyatt sexually assaulted the child, the report states.
Following an investigation, Hyatt was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Aiken County detention center, where he is still being held Thursday.
