ULDINE KEELING HANDLEY, 87, of Hurricane, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born June 9, 1931 and was a graduate of Hurricane High School. Uldine was privileged to serve her Lord and Savior as the pianist for First Baptist Church of Hurricane, W.Va. Through this service she was honored to accompany numerous soloists, choirs and ensembles. Her unique expressive accompaniment drew people to request her services for weddings and funerals statewide. As a well requested pianist, she utilized her talents to teach piano lessons and accompany high school choirs and civic groups. Uldine was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Kathryn (Hager) Keeling. Surviving family members include her devoted husband of 68 years, Carl F. Handley; son, Carl F. Handley II (Sandy) of Fayetteville, Ark.; sisters, Palmanita G. Keeling, Connie Keeling Dawson and Ginger Lewis; two nephews and one niece. Funeral services were conducted at noon Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Hurricane, W.Va., by Pastor Jeff Davenport. Burial in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, W.Va. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
