IRVING, Texas (AP) _ PGA Tour player Billy Mayfair and Tammy McIntire were married just off the 18th green at the Tournament Players Course at Las Colinas, the site of his course-record 61 in the 1993 GTE Byron Nelson Classic.

″We’re going to be spending the rest of our lives on a golf course so we thought we might as well be married on one,″ said Mayfair, who planned to keep his 1:35 p.m. tee time for today’s pro-am. ″I’ll be there. But if they’d given me a morning tee time, I would have called in sick.″

The 15-minute ceremony took place after Tuesday’s practice round.

″Since I’ve got the course record here, we thought this would be a nice place to do it,″ Mayfair said. ″I have very good memories here and they just got better.″
