Threat received at Dixon school

DIXON – Because of a threat made Tuesday morning at Reagan Middle School, Dixon Police will have an increased presence at the school, 620 Division Street.

Police and Dixon Public Schools administration investigated the threat over the course of the school day, and believe it to be non-credible. 

Police do not believe the threat was made to school’s students or staff, but will have increased personnel available on campus tomorrow.

A message was posted by Dixon Police on its Facebook page at 3:51 p.m. with information about the threat.

Police encourage parents to discuss with their children to find out more about the situation.

Reagan Middle School is in session from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. this week; its office is open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
