One injured, one in custody as family dispute leads to shooting

FLORENCE, S.C. – One person was wounded and another person is in custody after a shooting late Saturday in a neighborhood south of Howe Springs Road.

Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a shooting with a victim at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday on Candy Lane in Florence County, according to a news release.

The incident occurred during a family dispute, according to deputies.

The victim was transported to a hospital for medical treatment, but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A suspect was taken into custody a few hours later and charged with attempted murder.
