Bootlegger to reopen in Lunenburg
LUNENBURG -- The Bootlegger Restaurant and Lounge will reopen as the Simon-Pure Publick House. The new restaurant can open at 50 Mass. Ave. after Oct. 31, according to the Town Manager’s office. The Bootlegger has been closed since January. A banner with the restaurant’s name hangs from the second floor railing. An advertisement posted last week on Craigslist says Simon-Pure Publick House is hiring full- and part-time bartenders, wait staff, hosts, and bussers.
Owners Sean Morrison and Lance Dellogono filed paperwork at Town Hall in mid-September to change the Bootlegger’s name. Attempts to reach the owners were unsuccessful.
