The Watertown Plan Commission scheduled a public hearing for a floodplain ordinance amendment on Feb. 5 during a meeting of the Watertown Common Council.

Mayor John David said FEMA reset the floodplain map and it needs to be approved by the common council.

“This is for the area out on West Main Street where the Kwik Trip is,” he said.

A public hearing was held for Summit Credit Union about a conditional use permit for a single-story financial institution with a detached drive-thru. Representatives from Summit Credit Union spoke during the hearing.

“They explained their plans they wanted to do,” David said. “They incorporated some changes that were recommended at the site plan review committee and everything was unanimously approved by the plan commission.”

The commission also approved a conditional use permit for an agricultural storage shed at N805 County Highway L.
