Bills’ Wiley Has Charges Dropped

August 5, 1999

FREDONIA, N.Y. (AP) _ Buffalo Bills defensive end Marcellus Wiley was back in training camp Wednesday after harassment charges against him were dropped.

Wiley and his girlfriend filed charges against one another in Orchard Park Town Court following a domestic dispute in May, but each dropped the charges in court Tuesday.

Police were called to their residence in Orchard Park on May 8 to investigate a domestic dispute between Wiley and Kimberly Bartlett, according to police records.

Bartlett told police she was bitten on the finger and kicked. Wiley said he was cut on his cheek and lip during the altercation.

Each signed a complaint accusing the other of harassment.

Wiley missed one practice session Tuesday to go to court. He refused to comment on Wednesday.
