Jane’s Buys Swiss Defense Publishing Firm
LONDON (AP) _ Jane’s Publishing Group, which publishes a weekly defense magazine and 14 yearbooks, said Thursday it has acquired Interavia SA, a defense and aerospace publisher based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
The acquisition will nearly double Jane’s annual revenue, from about $21.45 million to $41.25 million, said Mark Broughton, a spokesman for Jane’s.
London-based Jane’s Publishing Group, which includes DMS Inc. of Greenwich, Conn., publishes Jane’s Defense Weekly and defense, areospace and transportation yearbooks such as Jane’s All the World’s Aircraft and Jane’s Fighting Ships.
Interavia publishes magazines, directories and information services for the defense and areospace markets, including the monthly magazines International Defense Review and Interavia Aerospace Review.
