LAS VEGAS _ Four rural Nevada counties are joining a “Second Amendment sanctuary” drive that has grown in sheriff’s offices and statehouses in several Western U.S. states. Commissioners in Lyon County on Thursday followed counterparts in Nye, Douglas and Elko counties voting to tell the state Legislature they believe gun owners should be free to share or sell weapons without having to undergo strict new background checks.
