ATHENS, Greece (AP) _ A Greek man was acquitted Wednesday of involvement in the deaths of six people and membership in a terrorist organization.

Avraam Lesperoglou, 47, was charged with participating in the killings of a public prosecutor, three police officers and two security guards in three incidents in the mid-1980s.

All six killings were blamed on a terrorist group called Anti-State Struggle.

The court found Lesperoglou innocent of participating in the killings and ruled that he did not belong to the terror group.

Lesperoglou was arrested at Athens airport in December 1999 after 17 years on the run.

The three police officers were killed in a shoot-out with suspected terrorists, while the two security guards were killed during a robbery attempt. The prosecutor was gunned down outside his home.
