Making way for new library
SEDRO-WOOLLEY — A building was demolished Monday at 100 West State Street to make way for the new Sedro-Woolley area library.
Construction on the new library is set to begin in 2019.
City Supervisor and Attorney Eron Berg said large wood beams from the old building are being salvaged in hopes of using them in the new library.
The new library is a joint venture between the city of Sedro-Woolley and the Central Skagit Library District.
