Traffic detour scheduled in Monroe

April 1, 2019

MONROE — First Selectman Kenneth Kellogg announced Monday that the state Department of Transportation has scheduled a detour for Route 25 from 7 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Monday, April 8 for work to replace a bridge.

The DOT approved allowing the detour to be extended up to 9 a.m. April 8 only if sufficient work can be completed to eliminate one of the remaining weekend detours of this construction project. If that is not possible, the detour will end by 6 a.m. April 8.

All business access for properties located within the construction zone will remain open, although traffic may only be able to access from one direction or the other on Route 25 during the weekend detour.
