Fort Bend County Fair Downtown Stomp returns

August 2, 2018

Wine tasting, shopping, and discovering Historic Downtown Rosenberg is all a part of the 5th Annual Downtown Stomp. Experience a top selection of wines as you stroll the different businesses and explore Historic Downtown Rosenberg.

Wine aficionados and novices are invited to enjoy wine tasting and after-hours shopping and dining. Many of the downtown shops will have extended hours on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, from 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy dining, desserts, antique shopping, fashion boutiques, hand-crafted custom furniture, and unique items throughout the charm of Downtown Rosenberg. Over twenty-two businesses will be participating with seventeen shops being official wine tasting venues.

The Fort Bend County Fair and their Grapes on the Brazos Wine Committee have partnered with the Rosenberg Arts Alliance District to host the Downtown Stomp. Downtown Stomp patrons will be able to vote on their favorite wine as part of the People’s Choice Award. In 2017 the People’s Choice Award went to the Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc Viognier white blend.

“Every year the Downtown Stomp has grown. We have people who come from all over the county and from the Greater Houston area. It is a great time and grand way to discover all the treasures we have to offer including our Fair,” said James Duke, President of the Fort Bend County Fair.

Keepsake wine glasses are now on sale at the fair office. Tickets can also be purchased online at fortbendcountyfair.com. For more information call the fair office at 281-342-6171.
